Are you ready for the X?
The EPB's new Fiber To The Home Service
Fiber Optics (used by the EPB) are better than traditional coaxial cable for a number of reasons, including:
Fiber carries much more information, and at a much higher speed, than regular cable. Even though
the EPB already has the fastest Internet service in Barren County, fiber optics "kicks it up a notch"
(a big notch, actually).
| |
Fiber optics are practically immune to all types of interference, including lightning and radio waves.
It doesn't conduct electricity, so it's even safer for your home's electronics.
The basic fiber is made of glass; therefore, it won't corrode and it's unaffected by most chemicals.
It will last a long, LONG time.
Are you worried about security? The EPB is, too. Fiber optics are very difficult to tap. Also,
there is no radiation at all from a fiber.
